Indonesian natural stone
Palimanan Stone
A pale Indonesian stone for walls, columns and paving.

Overview
Palimanan Stone takes its name from Palimanan in West Java. It is the pale end of the range, and it is usually chosen where a wall or a paved surface should hold light rather than absorb it.
Most enquiries for it are wall work: garden walls, columns, paving borders and feature surfaces. Send the layout and we quote the format against it.
Appearance and variation
Pale, in the off-white to soft sand family, and noticeably lighter than the other stones in the range. On a wall it holds light, so it reads as a surface rather than as a shadow. Where it meets green planting or darker stone, the contrast does most of the design work.
Tested technical properties (water absorption, density, slip rating, frost resistance) are not published here, because no test data has been supplied for this stone. If your specification calls for a tested value, ask for it in the enquiry and we will confirm what can be provided and what cannot.
Sizes and finishes
What we need to quote this stone
Quoted per order
Wall work is quoted by coverage: we confirm the format, the thickness and the joint width you plan to use, because the joint width changes how many pieces a wall needs. Send the elevation and the joint you have in mind.
Tell us five things and we can quote:
- Thickness
- Format and nominal size
- Surface finish
- Edge treatment
- Packing unit
Formats, thickness and finish are quoted against your order rather than published as a fixed list, because what the block allows and what the finish needs change from one order to the next. Send the schedule or the drawing with your enquiry and we will confirm what we can produce for it.
Applications
What this stone is asked for
- Wall cladding and garden walls
- Columns and garden structures
- Paving where a pale stone is wanted
- Paving borders and edging
- Feature walls and planter faces
These are the uses this stone is usually asked for. Whether it suits your project depends on the finish, the thickness and how your contractor will fix it, so confirm the application in your enquiry before you specify.

Questions
Palimanan Stone: what buyers ask
What colour is Palimanan Stone?
Pale, in the off-white to soft sand family, and lighter than every other stone in the range. As with all natural stone, tone moves across a batch, so confirm the range before a design depends on an exact match.
Can Palimanan Stone be used outside?
It is asked for as wall and garden material. Tell us what the wall is exposed to and how it is built, and we answer for that use rather than for outdoor use in general.
Why is the price quoted per order rather than listed?
Because format, thickness, finish and packing all move the number, and what the block allows changes between orders. We quote the order you actually have, which is also why the site has no price list.
