Indonesian Natural Stone

Six stones, produced and exported from Indonesia: Sukabumi Green Stone, Black Lava, Andesite, Palimanan, Paras and Pebble Stone. Each one has its own page, and each one is quoted against your order rather than from a stock list.

The six stones side by side on a neutral surface: grey and dark volcanic slabs, green stone, two pale stones and a heap of graded pebbles

The portfolio

A range of six, not a directory

An Indonesian stone supplier can usually quote dozens of materials. This range is six, and the reason is simple: six is what we produce, inspect, pack and load ourselves, so the answer to a question about any of them comes from the same place as the stone.

The six cover the families Indonesian stone is bought for: a green stone for wet areas, two volcanic stones for paving and cladding, two lighter stones for walls and paving, and a graded pebble for landscape work.

Six products

Every stone in the range

Each card carries a photograph of the stone. It links to the product page, which sets out what the stone is asked for and what we need to quote it.

  • Five Andesite Stone paving pieces on a pale surface, showing the sawn edge and the even grey tone

    Andesite Stone

Grey volcanic stone for paving, steps and cladding.

  • Paras Stone slabs with an open, pitted face, with two broken pieces beside them showing the thickness

    Paras Stone

Light, textured stone for wall cladding.

  • Graded pebbles heaped on a pale surface, showing the mix of grey, black and brown stones within one range

    Pebble Stone

Graded pebbles for beds, borders and features.

Choosing between them

Three decisions that narrow the range

These are the questions that usually settle the choice before appearance is discussed. Everything else follows from the format and the fixing detail.

01

Start with what the surface has to do

Walked on, splashed on, or looked at from a distance. Paving and pool surrounds have different demands from cladding, and that narrows the six down before colour is discussed.

02

Decide how much variation you can accept

Green and volcanic stones move in tone across a batch. If the design needs an even surface, say so early, because that is a selection decision rather than a finishing one.

03

Fix the format before the finish

Format, thickness and finish are quoted together. Changing the format late changes the thickness we can hold and the number of pieces the project needs.

From Indonesia to your project

The same sequence for every order

Stone is sourced and cut, sized and finished to the order, inspected, packed, loaded into the container and shipped. The sequence does not change because the order is small or the destination is close.

What changes per order is the detail inside each step: the format, the finish, the packing unit and the documents. All four are confirmed before production rather than after.
